ABOUT US

"I am the vine, ye are the branches; He that abideth in me, and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
-John 15:5

HISTORY

In September 1998, Elder W. Ralph Freeman received a vision from the Lord calling him to establish The Vineyard Christian Church in Covington, Georgia. Inspired by scripture, John 15:5, Elder Freeman reflected on God's blessings of bountiful harvests and lessons of hardships, recognizing sustained faith, further motivating his mission. After a year of preparation, the church officially opened in October 1999 at Sharpe Learning Center, beginning with 13 members, marking the start of its Bible teaching ministry.

DECLARATION

I am who God says I am; I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me. I am what God says I am.

VISION

It is the vision of this church to:

Exalt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whenever we gather.
Reach the unchurched.
Provide a loving and harmonious atmosphere for the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
Develop mature Christians.
Empower and equip laborers for God's vineyard.
Tear down the stronghold of traditions, heresies, and lifestyle that hinders individual growth.
Be a place where the hurting, depressed, confused, frustrated and those without hope can find healing through love, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.
Be a place that will serve the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs to all that worships with us.
Be a place of guidance for the youth. A place they can come to experience God, have fun, learn and enjoy all aspects of Christian life.
Be a place of beauty, serenity, and joy in the Lord until He comes again.
